FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How exactly do you address sleep problems if you don't sleep train?

This is a question I get all the time! If not sleep training, then what?

The first step is always to educate parents on what is normal for babies and children at certain ages; and IF the sleep challenge is concerning or raises any red flags, we look into the root cause of the disrupted sleep.

Everyone wants to sleep, so if your baby is waking up every hour for example, we need to figure out why,  and then address the cause. This may be medical conditions, scheduling issues (like wake windows), food sensitivities, relational and attachment needs, etc.

We need to treat every baby as the unique individual they are. Taking their unique sleep needs, temperament and sensory profile into consideration.

There are no quick fixes or step-by-step plans that will solve sleep challenges.

I also support families in shifting and changing patterns that no longer work for them. We do this by working together, following the baby's lead and listening to our own gut feelings.

What age does my baby or child need to be?

I help families with babies and children of all ages, but my focus is predominantly on 0-5 years.

How do I book with you?

I like a personal touch, so I handle most of my bookings through email.

You can email me at root.restful@gmail.com or contact me via the contact form below.

Let me know what support package you are interested in, or ask what service I'd recommend for your family.

I typically reply within 24 hours.

Do you only take clients from South Africa?

Not at all! I've worked with families from all over the world!

Even though I'm based in South Africa, the work I do with families are all virtual!

If you live elsewhere, send me an email so I can give you a quote in your local currency and see how we can work around time-zone differences.
